Judge Lisa A. Hubacek
Judge Hubacek has served Brazos County and eight surrounding counties as the Title IV-D Associate Judge since her appointment in 2005.
Judge Hubacek grew up in San Antonio and graduated with honors from St. Mary’s University with a degree in psychology. She attended law school at Texas Tech University on a full scholarship and graduated with honors in 1993. She spent her first year out of law school as a Briefing Attorney for the Honorable George T. Ellis of the 14th Court of Appeals in Houston.

She then met and fell in love with her husband who is from Bryan, so she moved here in 1994. They have three grown children.
Judge Hubacek practiced law in Bryan, while also teaching college courses. She taught paralegal courses at Blinn and taught pre-law courses at Texas A&M’s Mays Business school for eight years. Judge Hubacek was honored with the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Texas A&M Alumni Association and has a Fish Camp named after her. She was also recognized by the Bar Association for her numerous hours of Pro Bono services. During this time, she was also a part-time Municipal Court Judge in College Station.
This court, officially named the Title IV-D Associate Court, hears cases for the 85th District Court, 272nd District Court, 361st District Court, County Court at Law No. 1 and County Court at Law No. 2.
The courts refer all cases filed through the Attorney General’s Office of Texas, including but not limited to child support orders, modification of child support and enforcement of child support orders, paternity establishment, visitation, and uncontested custody.
