Judge Jana L. Foreman
Judge Foreman was appointed to the Family Law Associate Court in January 2026, and presides over civil family cases and tax cases for all of the District and County Courts.
Judge Foreman graduated from Howard Payne University in 1993 and South Texas College of Law in 1996. She was licensed to practice law that same year and began private practice first in Houston and then in Brazos County and surrounding counties after moving to this area in 2000. She became board certified in Family Law in 2025.
The Family Law Associate Court handles family law cases referred to it by the District Courts and the County Courts At Law of Brazos County, Texas including but not limited to Temporary Restraining Orders, Temporary Orders hearings and Bench Trials.
Additionally, the Family Law Associate Court handles Protective Order hearings referred to it by those same Courts, as well as a portion of the Brazos County tax docket.
My Sticker Calendar
The Office of the Attorney General provides a resource called My Sticker Calendar, which is a tool for children to easily understand and plan time they spend in each parent’s home. Parents can request a physical copy from the Office of the Attorney General, or print their own from the OAG website.
