Constable J.P. Ingram
As the elected Brazos County Constable for Precinct 3, J.P. Ingram has dedicated more than 31 years to protecting and serving Texas communities. Since taking office in 2015, he has focused on community-driven service, overseeing all aspects of civil process for Precinct 3, providing criminal law enforcement support to our agency partners, managing Texas A&M University warrant enforcement, and servicing the Justice of the Peace Court.

Ingram’s career also includes a decade with the Bryan Police Department, where he served on the proactive Neighborhood Enforcement Team, and an initial ten-year tenure advancing from reserve deputy to Patrol Sergeant with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and La Grange Police Department.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University and an Associate degree from Blinn College. As a Master Peace Officer and certified TCOLE Basic Instructor, Ingram has specialized certifications in crime prevention, sexual assault investigations, and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing instruction.
Committed to executive leadership development, he is also a proud graduate of both the Texas Constable Leadership College Class 12, and the Leadership Command College Class 44 through the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LEMIT).
The men and women of the Constable’s Office for Precinct 3 are here to serve the citizens who commute, work, and live in this fine precinct. Brazos County Precinct 3 is a unique blend of businesses, neighborhoods, apartments, and of course, Texas A&M University.
Our primary role in the community is to serve all civil process and execute all writs in our precinct, and to provide court security for the Justice of the Peace Court for Precinct 3. We are also responsible is for all school truancy citations and hearings filed in Brazos County.
We also handle citations management, hearings, criminal trials and warrant support for the Texas A&M University Police Department.

- The primary function of the Constable’s office is to serve the Justice of the Peace Court, and processing the orders of the courts accurately and expediently.
- The Constable and his deputies are officers of the courts. They provide fair and impartial notification to citizens of court actions that may involve them.
- The Constable and his deputies are licensed peace officers of the State of Texas. The Constable and his deputies share the responsibility of community wellness, thus they are charged to uphold all the laws, civil and criminal, of the Great State of Texas.
- The Constable’s Office will strive to continue to outreach to our community by implementing a more strategic and thoughtful incorporation of prevention of crime and disorder, focusing more on a proactive approach to Crime Prevention, with greater citizen input to problems.
