If you get arrested for a Capias Pro Fine Warrant, you have two options:
- Lay out the whole amount of the warrant.
- If someone is bailing you out they will need to pay the Sheriff’s Office the full amount of your Capias Pro Fine Warrant. You are not allowed to bail out for a Capias Pro Fine.

In most cases, applying for a payment plan takes 20 minutes or less.
Yes, you can. You will need to get a cash bond release from the Court and take it to the District Clerk’s Office. The District Clerk’s Office will call us and verify the amount is correct. The District Clerk’s Office will then process a check to the Brazos County Collections Office on your behalf.
Yes, you can. Always pay the fines and fees associated with your payment plan off early. This makes sure that you know the correct amount for all your cases. Personal checks are not accepted.
If you can’t affort to pay in full, you will be sent a last chance letter to the last known address you provided. This letter will include an affidavit for indigence form. You have 14 days to return this form to the Collections Office.
We then send a setting request to the Court, and you will go back before the Court and explain why you’re not making monthly payments to the Judge.
The Judge then has the following options:
- Send you to jail to lay out the full balance owed.
- Waive part of the court costs, fines, and/or attorney fees.
- Find you indigent and waive all of the remaining fees.
- Order you to preform community service hours
monthly. Credit is given toward the amount you owe at a rate of $15 per hour of community service.
These notifications are a reminder that you need to make payment. Even $1 passed due will trigger calls and text messages reminding you to make payment.
No. You are ordered to pay the victim back in full. If not, we will send the case to a third-party collector.
