Mr. Joel Hein was selected as Brazos County Juvenile Services "Employee of the Month" for April, 2009. During a recent state audit, the auditor commented positively on Joel's case notes. Joel is willing to help out peers as needed. As a probation officer assigned to the "Placement Unit," Joel, along with his co-workers, has to routinely visit probationers in residential treatment facilities. Joel does not hesitate to help other placement officers when available. Keep up the good job, and thanks for all you do. Congratulations Joel.

Bio: Joel has been employed with Brazos County Juvenile Services since July 1991. Joel began employment on a part-time basis and became a full-time employee in 1992. In 1996, Joel resigned to take another position working with youth & college students in Brenham, TX. He rejoined the department in March, 1997 as an Intake Officer in the Juvenile Detention Center. From that position, he later moved into the Placement Unit where he is currently assigned.

Joel has a Bachelor of Science degree in Theology from Southwestern Assemblies of God College. Joel is an avid hunter and sportsman, and his knowledge of hunting is exceptional.
