Ms. Carol Jackson, Intensive Supervision Probation (ISP) Officer was selected as the Brazos County Juvenile Probation Department's "Employee of the Month" for March, 2009. Carol has done an outstanding job recently of working with unusually difficult cases.
Ms. Jackson is a woman of great character and has the respect of her peers and supervisors as well as the children and families she works with. What makes Carol great is her strong character. Specifically, Ms. Jackson has demonstrated the following character traits:
a. Availability vs. Self-Centeredness - by making her own schedule and priorities secondary to the wishes of others.
b. Dependability vs. Inconsistency - by fulfilling what she consented to do, even when it meant unexpected sacrifice.
c. Endurance vs. Discouragement - by having the inward strength to withstand stress and do her best.
d. Initiative vs. Idleness - by recognizing and doing what needs to be done before being asked to do it.
e. Loyalty vs. Unfaithfulness - by using difficult times to demonstrate her commitment to those she serves.
Due to Carol's strong character and integrity as described above, she was able to perform at an extremely high level during a very stressful and difficult time for the department. Her unselfish attitude and actions are worthy of much praise, respect, and admiration. Thanks Carol for doing such a great job under such trying circumstances. You are deeply appreciated.

Carol has previously been awarded the "Director's Award" in 2008 for her perseverance under pressure.
Bio: Carol attended Hearne High School and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Before beginning work with the Brazos County Juvenile Department in August of 2005, Ms. Jackson worked for 8 years with the Brazos County Adult Probation Department and 3 years with the Robertson County Juvenile Probation Department.
