Robert Person, Volunteer Coordinator, was selected as our "Employee of the Month" for January 2008. During the month of December, 2007, Robert excelled in many ways. To begin with, in his capacity as "Volunteer Coordinator," Robert has managed to recruit a wide variety of individuals to serve as volunteer mentors for our youth on probation.
Robert also serves as the current President of our "Employee Action Committee," (EAC), and in so doing was responsible for organizing and managing our 2007 Employee Awards Ceremony held on December 7, 2007, at the Plaza Hotel in College Station Texas. This was a huge responsibility and Robert was not only able to secure an outstanding site for the ceremony, but also coordinated the activities, food, decorations, and awards presentations. Believe me, this was a big job.
Additionally, Robert, with little advance preparation, agreed to be the lead singer for "Dr. D and The Delinquents," an impromptu musical band made up of department employees (Paul Morales, Jeff Manning, Christopher Farmer, Robert Person, Douglas Vance, Michelle Fecowycz, and Jannifer Ellison) who performed several songs at the Awards Banquet. Robert's extraordinary efforts and great attitude ensured the ceremony was great success. Great job, Robert.
