Christina Reyes was selected as our "Employee of the Month" for April 2008. Ms. Reyes consistently does an outstanding job and displays dedication, loyalty, and team work on a regular basis. Although she is relatively new to the department, she has mastered all aspects of her job and in many ways has exceeded expectations. Christina has received praise from judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, as well as from parents for her professionalism and strong work ethic.

When I think of Christina, I think not only of a great employee, but more importantly, I see a great person. Christina is a woman of great character as evidenced by the following character traits she consistently exhibits:

Compassion - Christina invests whatever is necessary to heal the hurts of others.

Dependability - Christina fulfills whatever she has consented to do, even if it means unexpected sacrifice.

Endurance - Christina demonstrates she has the inward strength to withstand stress and to always do her best.

Friendship - Christina is always willing to come alongside another person for mutual support and encouragement.

Gentleness - Christina always shows consideration and personal concern for others.

Responsibility - Christina knows and does what is expected of her.

These great character traits are just some of what makes Christina such an exceptional person who is admired and respected by all who know her. Thanks Christina for all you do. You are a very special person and we are truly blessed to work with you.

Title: Juvenile Probation Officer

Merits: Christina has received formal recognition in the past for going beyond the call of duty while supervising a female resident who was in the hospital for an extended period of time

Bio: Christina graduated from Alamogordo High School in New Mexico. She received a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Prairie View A&M and a Masters Degree in Counseling from Prairie View A&M. Christina is a great athlete excelling in both softball and volleyball. Christina keeps herself in excellent condition as she enjoys working out and frequents the gym on a regular basis. Before working with the Juvenile Department, Christina served as a Program Director of a Boys and Girls Club in New Mexico and as a girls softball coach at Alamogordo High School in New Mexico.
