Ms. Bette Prenoveau has been selected as the Brazos County Juvenile Services "Employee of the Month" for June, 2008. Bette is a very dedicated and hard working individual who is always willing to do whatever is needed in order to help the youth we serve. Bette routinely works extra hours to help ensure the needs of our youth are met.
Bette has been instrumental in working with the Brazos Food Bank in order to have our youth who are in need of participation in the Summer Back Pack Program included. This program ensures that these needy youth have food to eat during the summer months when they are not in school and do not have the support of the school lunch program.
Bette is involved in training volunteers and mentors. She conducts training for staff, youth and parents. Although primarily a counselor, Bette is becoming proficient in the administration of Psychological Assessments which will help enable the department to better satisfy the needs of the court.
Bette demonstrates diligence while working with her clients and goes the extra mile to encourage youth, while at the same time letting them know that they have to be accountable for their behavior. Bette is very knowledgeable regarding adolescent mental health issues and is a true expert in her field. Thanks Bette for a job very well done!!

Bio: Bette is a Licensed Master Social Worker with recognition as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. Bette received her Master of Social Work degree from Barry University in Florida. Before being hired with Brazos County Juvenile Services in 1999, Bette worked as a therapist at several places including the "Brazos Valley Mental Health Center" and "Scotty's House" where she worked with child abuse victims.
