[ARCHIVED] Manuel Aguilar

Manuel Aguilar was selected as our "Employee of the Month" for August 2008. Manuel is assigned to work in our Detention Center and does an outstanding job of providing for safety and security. During this recent month, Manuel has volunteered to work over-time on multiple occasions to help meet the staffing needs of the facility. His commitment and loyalty to his job was evident when he volunteered to work several times on his off days.

Manuel took it upon himself to move some broken tables out of the gymnasium and into proper storage. He also routinely goes beyond his job by offering to do routine maintenance tasks such as unstopping clogged toilets when needed. Manuel is a very experienced officer who works well with juveniles. He is always willing to help out in any way needed and is a positive asset to this department. Thanks Manuel for all you do.

Merits: Manuel has been recognized on numerous occasions in the past by both peers and supervisors alike for his willingness to help out and to change his plans in order to meet the needs of the department.

Bio: Manuel was hired by Brazos County Juvenile Services in March of 1998. Before becoming a Juvenile Detention Officer, Manuel served with the Bryan Police Department working in the Intake Unit. Manuel graduated from Bryan High School and attended Blinn College. He as recently gone back to college working on completing his Bachelors Degree.
