Employee Spotlight

[ARCHIVED] Ms. Lisa Rose

Ms. Lisa Rose was chosen as our Brazos County Juvenile Services "Employee of the Month" for January 2009. Lisa is a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and a Phlebotomist, and as such, serves as our Department Nurse. Her duties include providing nursing care to residents housed in our Juvenile Detention Center and for students attending our Juvenile Justice Alternative School. Nurse Rose also provides nursing services to staff members as needed, and she conducts numerous medical care training classes for staff members. Additionally, Nurse Rose conducts Health Education Classes for children in our Detention Center.

Nurse Rose cares a great deal for children, and as such she goes to great lengths to comfort and reassure the children she treats. She is very adept at quickly building rapport with her patients, and she enjoys providing not only professional medical care, but also sound advice and encouragement.

Title: Department Nurse

Bio: Nurse Lisa Rose received her LVN Degree from Blinn College. Before joining Brazos County Juvenile Services in December 2004, Nurse Rose served as a Phlebotomy Supervisor at St. Joseph Regional Center Laboratory. Previous to that, Nurse Rose worked at the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center in Brenham Texas as a Phlebotomist/Apheresis Technician.
