Employee Spotlight

Ms. Jena Overall was selected as our Brazos County Juvenile Services "Employee of the Month" for February, 2012. Jean is a Probation Officer assigned to our Intensive Supervision Unit (ISP). Due to a vacancy in that Unit Jena has carried the entire caseload since November, 2011 and has performed exceptionally well. Jena has recently began to mentor a new employee assigned to the ISP Unit. Jena is very dedicated and works extremely hard. She has strong writing skills and is very adept at building rapport with juveniles.

Jena is always willing to help peers when needed and she is ready and willing to take on extra assignments as requested. Jena is very intelligent and has a strong work ethic. She is a very determined professional who refuses to yield to difficult circumstances. She is friendly and always striving to learn as much as she can. She is goal oriented and has an uncanny ability to maintain sustained focus despite difficulty and challenge. Thanks Jena for all you do. You are very much appreciated.

Bio: Jena graduated from Bryan High School and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University. She is currently working on her Masters Degree at Texas A&M University in Public Policy Analysis. Jena has been employed as a Juvenile Probation Officer with Brazos County since 2008. She is very athletic and enjoys outdoor activities. Additionally Jena enjoys research and applied statistical analysis making her quite a unique and exceptional individual.
