Demetris McDaniel was selected as the Brazos County Juvenile Services "Employee of the Month" for January 2012. Demetris took very little vacation time during the Christmas holidays, making herself available to guide the Field Unit while her supervisor was out of the office.
She assigned cases, reviewed cases, and checked the docket and detention roster daily to make sure we had adequate court coverage. Demetris took on these extra duties while still maintaining her own caseload.
Demetris has also assisted with providing transportation to one of our youth and their guardians so they could be present for court and for various departmental programs.
Though she is extremely busy all the time, she never lets that keep her from holding her probationers accountable. Demetris makes managing multiple priorities look easy and she sets a great example for other officers. This department is very lucky to have her. Great job Demetris.
