[ARCHIVED] Kristin Bunson

Ms. Kristen Brunson has been selected as our Brazos County Juvenile Services "Employee of the Month" for October 2011. Kristen has worked with the Recidivism Reduction Program (RRP) since April 2010. She fits well with the RRP team as she works diligently with community resources and ardently seeks out specific services needed for the youth on her caseload.

Kristen worked very hard in helping organize the Summer Youth Program this year and she did a good job of providing guidance to the departmental interns during the summer. Kristen documents her work very well and keeps the officers of the youth on her caseload up to date with the progress of their juveniles. Kristen is one of the officers that works with the "Pets With a Purpose Program "in the Juvenile Detention Center. She is also a valued member of the Employee Action Committee (EAC). Kristen is always willing to assist with juvenile transports if necessary and is also willing to work flexible hours whenever needed.

Kristen has strong character traits that include Creativity in that she approaches a need, a task, or an idea from a new perspective as well as Initiative as evidenced by her ability to recognize and do what needs to be done before being asked to do it. Great job Kristen and thanks for all you do.

Merits: Kristen has previously been recognized by her supervisor for her positive attitude and willingness to assist peers as needed.

Bio: Kristen attended high school at Bryan High - home of the mighty Vikings. She earned her Bachelors degree in Child Development from Stephen F. Austin University and she has a Masters degree in Social Work from Baylor University.

Before beginning to work for the Brazos County Juvenile Probation Department, Kristen worked as a Case Manager for the Twin City Mission.
