Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing on the proposed Brazos County Budget for Fiscal Year 2026 – 2027 will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 8:30 A.M. Commissioners Court will meet at the Brazos County Administration Building in the Brazos County Commissioners’ Courtroom, 200 South Texas Avenue, Suite 106, Bryan Texas.
This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $12,877,663 or 10.27%, and of that amount, $5,020,573 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.
A copy of the proposed budget is on file in the County Budget Office, County Clerk’s Office and is posted on the county internet website for public review. Any citizen will have the opportunity to give written and oral comments at the Public Hearing.
