Traffic Alert: Texas Ave. Lane Closures Expected Through End of Year

Map showing the Texas Ave. lane closures beginning September 7. Starting September 7, the outside southbound lane of Texas Avenue will be closed between 27th and 28th streets as the Brazos County Administration Building remodel continues along that side of the building. The closure will also affect a portion of the roadway between 26th and 27th streets with a barricaded merge lane (this may affect a Brazos Transit bus stop along that block). The inside southbound lane will remain open but could become more congested during peak traffic times. This closure is expected to remain in place through the end of 2026.
