[ARCHIVED] Christina Reyes-Thomas

Ms. Christina Reyes-Thomas was selected as Brazos County Juvenile Services "Employee of the Month" for March, 2011. Christina consistently performs at a high level. She recently covered all of her supervisor's "interim supervision" duties and assisted a peer in reviewing files while her supervisor was out of the office for an extended period of time following the birth of his son.

Recently, Christina did a great job covering for another officer. She recognized that a peer's probationer was brought into detention over the weekend and promptly prepared for the hearing as her peer was in training. This helped her supervisor out tremendously as he was busy preparing to take another juvenile into custody.

Christina also has a vested interest in the success of her probationers. Recently, she recognized one of her probationers in the departmental newsletter. The young lady Christina recognized started her probation off on the wrong foot. She has since turned things around and has gone from a "Troubled Girl to a Responsible Young Lady".

The youth is now on track to graduate on time, has paid all of her fees with her own money, and maintains employment as a Supervisor at a fast food restaurant in town. Without a doubt, Christina had a big hand in this youth being able to turn her life around. Thanks Christina for your hard work! We are lucky to have you.
