Ms. Johnson was selected as our "Employee of the Month" for December 2007. Ms. Johnson is a Counselor who works with youth detained in our Juvenile Detention Center. Ms. Johnson always does an outstanding job counseling youth and conducting life-skills training groups and always maintains a positive relationship with the children she serves.
Ms. Johnson is trained in basic CPR/1st aid and was able to use this job-related skill to save a man's life. While in the grocery store, Ms. Johnson noticed a man collapse due to an apparent heat-attack. Ms. Johnson quickly responded and performed CPR on the unconscious individual until emergency personnel arrived. Due to Ms. Johnson's quick action and dedication to serving others, she is credited with saving the man's life. Ms. Johnson is not only our "Employee of the Month," but she is a true hero.

Bio: Ms. Johnson began working for the Juvenile Department in April, 2004. She served as a Detention Supervisor and counselor for a period of time. Ms. Johnson is a graduate of Bryan High School and attended Texas A&M University majoring in Psychology. Before working for the Juvenile Department Ms. Johnson worked as a caseworker for the Brazos Valley MHMR department.
