Overview
The following fees will go into effect on January 1, 2014.

Filing Fees & Requirements
- $26 fee for the first page and $4 fee for each page thereafter
- Abstract Of Judgment - $26 fee for the first page and $4 fee for each page thereafter
- DD214 (military discharge) - no filing fee
- Plats - $73
- In order to file a document into the official records we require an original (no copies), original signatures, and a notary / notary seal
- DBA / Assumed Name Certificates - $26.00 plus $4.00 for each additional page
Copies of Legal Instruments
- Certified copy - $1 per page plus $5 for certification
- Plain copy - $1 per page
Birth Certificates
- Births occurring within the City Limits of Bryan or College Station starting January 1, 2019 will no longer be kept by the County Clerk's Office. You will need to contact the City Secretary's office of the city of birth.
- $23 fee to obtain a certified copy of a birth certificate
- Only the person, mother, father, brother, sister, spouse, or grandparents may request a copy of a birth certificate
- The person requesting the copy must complete a form and have proper identification
- When requesting a copy by mail, a notarized proof of identification and affidavit is required – money order or cashier's checks only are accepted (download application)
- When requesting a copy in person – cash or credit cards (no personal checks accepted)

Death Certificates
- Deaths occurring within the City Limits of Bryan or College Station starting January 1, 2019 will no longer be kept by the County Clerk's Office. You will need to contact the City Secretary's office of the city of death.
- $21 fee to obtain a single certified copy of a death certificate - additional certified copies of the same death certificate may be purchased at the same time for $4 each
- Only the mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister, spouse, grandparents, or grandchildren may request a copy of a death certificate
- The person requesting the copy must complete a form and have proper identification
- When requesting a copy by mail, a notarized proof of identification and affidavit is required – money order or cashier's checks only are accepted (download application)
- When requesting a copy in person – cash or credit card (no personal checks accepted)

Marriage Licenses
- $82 fee to obtain a marriage license for the purpose of getting married if the couple has not obtained a state certified class certificate (cash or credit card) NO CHECKS
- $22 fee to obtain a marriage license for the purpose of getting married if the couple has obtained the state certified class "Twogether in Texas" certificate (cash or credit/debit card, no checks).

- $47 fee to obtain an informal marriage license (cash or credit card, no checks)
- A certified copy of the marriage license can be obtained for $21
- The couple must appear in person in the County Clerk's Office
- The couple must have proper identification (valid drivers license, state issued ID, or passport)
- The couple must provide proof of Social Security numbers
- If one or both of the couple is divorced, they must have been divorced at least 31 days before obtaining another marriage license
- If one or both of the couple is under 18-years-old, contact the County Clerk's Office
- Once the marriage license is purchased, the couple must wait at least 72 hours before getting married, but no longer than 90 days from the day the license was purchased (the marriage license becomes void 90 days after the date of purchase)

Probate
- $500.00 attorney ad litem retainer fee for each Guardianship or Application to Determine Heirship case filed. Please contact the probate department for instructions on how to pay this fee.
- $302.00 current fee for opening a new probate case as Letters Testamentary, Muniment of Title, Administration or Guardianship
- Effective January 1, 2022, $390.00 fee for opening a new probate case as Letters Testamentary, Muniment of Title, Administration or Guardianship
